Hi everyone! After a few requests, we're starting a blog to keep interested long-distance parties apprised of baby Sophie's new developments and such. First off, here are her vitals:

• Birthday: April 14th, 2008, born at 5:40pm
• Birth weight: 7 pounds, 12 ounces
• Birth length: 20.5 inches
• Hair: brown
• Eyes: brown (now)

Achievements to date:

• Supporting her head for short periods on her own
• Making eye contact
• Smiling at people
• Verbalizing at people

Quirks:

• Constant flailing of arms and legs during all moments of wakefulness, sometimes punching herself in the face
• Pursing of her lips and turning up of her nose in her sleep
• Uncanny ability to sense whether the person holding her is standing or sitting (guess which one she prefers)
• Ability to kick herself out of almost any swaddling blanket
• Not bothered by any loud noise, but ALWAYS startled by her dad's sneezes
