Once again, Baby Sophie had a wild weekend! Thursday night, we went to cheer on Daddy at his softball game, and then out to Applebee's to celebrate the team's first win. This party girl stayed out with us that night until after 11pm! We busted a move in the ladies' room to "Material Girl." Then on Friday night she took her second trip to the Short North to see Sarah Jones' art show at Camelot Cellars. Since she was the only baby there, she became somewhat of an exhibit herself! She thought Sarah's art was an innovative take on some classic material, with a dash of retro. I'm pretty sure she dug it. After the show, she had her first real babysitting experience with the Santalucias while her mom and dad helped Sarah celebrate her 21st birthday. We returned to find our baby sleeping contently in her grandma's arms, although we heard that serene image was not necessarily representative of the whole experience! Apparently she enjoys the mother's milk a little too much. Oh well. Saturday we all just chilled a little bit, except for a walk to Tuttle Park where we just parked the baby in the middle of the big field while we threw the Aerobie Pro back and forth and tried (pretty successfully) not to hit her with it. Finally on Sunday, we traveled to Tipp City again to see John's extended family, and Sophie got to hang out with her cousins a little bit. We tried to get them all together for a photo, but that only resulted in the chaos pictured above. Everyone comments on what a nice, quiet, smiley baby she is! However, she got crankier as Sunday wore on... I guess she hit her party limit. But we still went out to Hounddog's last night, just to make sure we would be able to tell her she was there. She was impressed, but decided not to have any pizza this time.
In health news, her granuloma actually is going away like the surgeon predicted. We look forward to the day when she has a normal-looking belly button! But Daddy still says no two-pieces until she's 18. :)
